Requirements is a matric, SPS score of 30 points and a successful audition in your main instrument.

Any student wishing to take music lessons must speak to the Secretary, Mrs Nicky Bosman first, to ascertain if the student can add a music module to his/her current qualification and if not, to discuss other alternatives.

The Music Department offers a foundation music programme called the Diploma in Music.  However, to be accepted into this programme, you will need to successfully complete an audition in your main instrument.

Students on a music grade 7 level and above, can audition for the Charles Bryars Scholarship which is held annually There are no SAMRO bursaries available for 1st year students, but senior students can apply for SAMRO bursaries. However 1st year students may apply for NSFAS if they need any financial assistance with their education. To apply for NSFAS visit their page @ www.nsfas.org.za
